He would have done anything to have a child. He had in fact, spent the last few generations trying to have one. It had been an endless obsession since the moment desire for one had first entered his heart and his mind, and no matter how long it took, he knew from the bottom of his soulless existence that he would never give up.
He would never give up on anything, let alone this. He needed this. He needed a child.
And soon he knew that she would, too. It was only a matter of time before she would relent and offer herself to him. It was only a matter of time before the reality that he would win would set in and she would come to realise that it was the only way.
She would join him and they could be a family. Family. How he yearned for it.
Tearing his eyes from the sleeping figure before him, he turned and swept out of the room without a sound. His efforts would soon be rewarded. He was sure of it. He had done everything in his power to make this happen and it would.
And he knew that soon she would do anything for that same dream.
